Dorkin in York: The Mature Years

Entries by Chris C Olivier (94)

1 year 3 months

Marty Stencil thought he had stopped riding for good back in 2004. He came back in 2009 for 2 hours when he broke his arm. But now he has been riding for 1 year and 3 months.  For good this time I hope. And he just reached Old Guys who Ride status this month!  Shot in Greenville, NC.

Jon Faure MEGA Edit

This is Jon's First full edit. So stoked that I was there when he jumped the Mega Ramp this summer. This edit also includes the monster step up from Woodward West and a few random clips from various trips. Enjoy!!!

Joel Alamo turns it down...

Our friend Joel Alamo recently competed in the Colorado State Slopestyle Championships. This is a sick shot of him throwin a turndown off the whales tail at Valmont. He ended up having some bad luck in his runs but was killin it! Check out the report from the event on PSBMX right HERE

Lycra Sux

This is such a sick one from 50 year old Queenstown, New Zealand rider Pete McInally. Such a fun opening to a story of Pete got into Dirt Jumping. So awesome! He didn't even start Dirt Jumping until he was 46. Never too old to have some serious fun on a bike... Thanks for sending this over Pete!

DK Evolution 24" rims

These are the sick new 24" rims from DK. The Evolution is a double wall made out of 6061 Aluminum and weighs only 18.55oz. It offers a width of 30mm and a height of 18.75mm. They offer angled spoke holes and have a welded seam for strength. The Evolution is only available in a 36h. But come in a ton of colors. Retail stateside is $49.95 per rim. If you want to get a pair hit up your local bike shop or DK online right HERE

The history of Mongoose

The new film from Mark Eaton documenting the history of a truly iconic brand: Mongoose. Should be great.

Yellow Designs has talent

The Denver based Yellow Designs Trick team was recently on Americas got Talent. They did really good and had some crazy themed demos for the show. After receiving a wild card slot to try for the finals they ended up not getting enough votes to continue. But props to the guys for putting so much work into this. Riders are Brain Gavagan, James McGraw, Zack Lewis, John Chin and AJ Anaya. Check out another routine from them below...
