Nate Strieby - An Old Guy That Can Ride!

I ran across this video this morning. Not sure how old Nate is but I'm guessing he's somewhere in his late 30's. I always appreciate someone who can excel in all forms of bmx.

The New Linq Decadon Bridge Sprocket

Josh Richling from Apple Valley CA is not only one of our fellow Old Guys Who Ride but he is also the owner of Linq BMX. His company makes some absolutely amazing looking American Made frames. The latest addition to his line of products is the Decadon Bridge Sprocket. Josh turned me on to one at the Old School Reunion a couple of weeks ago to test for him. My first thought: This sprocket looks really bitchen! I really loved the machine work and the detail. Once I installed this bad boy, I spun the chain around and I had perfect tension all the way around with absolutely no tight spots! Nothing I hate more than spending money on a sprocket and have it be oval. You may be curious about the design so here's the specs and the thought behind the missing teeth.

"The Linq Decadon Bridge Sprocket is made of 7075 T6 aluminum. It's machined on one side to maintain thickness and has a Bridge between gaps to extend life. It comes with adapters for both 22mm and 19mm spindles. The Decadon Bridge maintains the ability to easily place the chain on slammed rear-ends."

I've struggled in the past damaging sprockets trying to get the chain on with a slammed rear end. This definitely makes sense.

All of the proceeds from Josh's company go towards helping build a bmx park for the local kids in his area. If your interested in helping him raise this money and get a really cool product while your at it, here's Josh's contact info: Phone: 760-900-LINQ - Facebook/linqbmx - Web: LinqBMX.com

40 y/o Anton de Jong's Feeble Grind on his Wedding Day

Had to post this. I would say this guy must be marrying a pretty awesome woman for her to let him do this on their wedding day. Awesome shot Anton!

after 27 years, not a whole lot has changed

(inset) back in '84 on the Haro Master, white coaster Tuffs, goggles, mouthtrap (why?),....doin' lawnmowers in the yard.

Then today (27 years later) on the Sunday cruiser, not a whole lot has changed, still have weak tricks, still havin' fun @ 40.....-Wayne Keller, DeLand skatepark, sunny central Florida...
